Keith Milsark, Executive Director:
I’ve been the Executive Director at Parkview since August, 2008, and have over twenty years of experience in senior living. I like working here because of the people. Many of the residents have led fascinating lives, and I enjoy getting to know them personally. There’s a love and respect between the staff and the residents that makes Parkview a great place to live and work.
Laura Mathews, Marketing Director:
I am privileged and honored to be the Marketing Director here at Parkview. My Gerontology degree and extensive marketing background have come together to make this an ideal career for my talents and energy. Together, my husband and I have five grown children and 11 grandkids! On the weekends, I spend as much time as possible enjoying the beautiful outdoors on our property in Woodland, WA, camping in our travel trailer, hiking a trail, biking, or snowshoeing!
Renee Naslund, RN Parkview Assisted Living:
I came to Parkview in May, 2019, after working as a hospice nurse. My heart is very drawn to being with older adults and providing geriatric and end-of-life care. I believe that every life is a special story, and I feel honored to walk alongside these living stories. I also worked previously as a caregiver for five years, providing in-home caregiving. I live in Gresham, where I enjoy birding, reading, and spending time with family and friends. I have 4 grown daughters and 4 grandchildren, who are the joys of my life.
Kathy Partin, Wellness Director:
Since I joined Parkview in 2011, we have grown from a single resident-led class to a dedicated Wellness Center offering 60+ classes per week at both the Independent and Assisted Living campuses. Each member of our team is a nationally credentialed Certified Personal Trainer with specialized training in working with seniors and special populations. We offer personalized individual sessions and also work closely with residents' medical professionals. Creativity and adaptability are the keys to fun, education, social support, and fitness!
Deanna Dierking, Activities Director:
I grew up in Missouri, attended university in Oklahoma, claim Oregon as my home, and have now called the Parkview community my "extended family" since 2004. Developing and implementing a Calendar of Events filled with a wide-array of life-enhancing workshops, activities, programs, entertainment, and excursions for our seniors means my team and I get to exercise our creativity, employing all that is available to us in the Portland Metro area and beyond. Keep it new & fresh. Keep it fun! And, in my spare time I can be found exploring area waterways in my trusty kayak.
John Wade, Supervisor for Security / Resident Services:
I started working here in 1999 and became Supervisor that same year. Christ demonstrated leadership through service to others. That is what we do here at Parkview, we serve elders with Christ as our motivation. We are surrogate family for our residents when they need protection, medical attention, building maintenance or an encouraging word. Away from work I’m involved in my church. My wife and I have no children, but we do enjoy spoiling our energetic "English cream" Golden Retriever, Boaz.
Eric Williams, Maintenance Director:
I’ve worked in the maintenance department at Parkview since 2012, and just recently was promoted to Director. As the Maintenance Director, my responsibilities include overseeing the maintenance and repair of the apartments, facilities, equipment, and grounds. Responding to our residents’ needs is a high priority to me and to my team. Parkview is a great place to work and serve.
Gary Shank, Parkview Resident's Pastor:
Since 1979 and through nearly thirty-some years of pastoral ministry, my wife Kathleen and I have served together in retirement home and nursing home settings simply because we love seniors! We value their years of experiences, listen attentively to their stories, and learn to more appreciate the lives we've been given. Parkview is home to amazing and delightful friends, and that includes the staff and resident's families who visit as well. I'm grateful to be a part of the Parkview community.
Lidiya Smityukh, Parkview Human Resources Manager:
I started working at Parkview in the summer of 2016. I have been in Human Resources for 10 years, with the majority of my background in nonprofit organizations. I am truly blessed to be a part of the Parkview family. I enjoy working with our wonderful staff who I have the pleasure of meeting during interviews and new hire orientations. I also love interacting with the residents, hearing their stories and words of wisdom and encouragement. On the weekends, you can find me enjoying time with my husband and 3 energetic boys.
